Cultivated in the arid Texas climate, our Aloe Vera (barbadensis miller) leaves are shipped in each week to be filleted and scraped of their precious gels. We use only the inner leaf portion and then sift about 90% of the pulp. This ancient superfood has dozens of applications and rich history of use going back to Cleopatra. Rich in vitamins, enzymes, and polysaccharides: the magic bullets of the Aloe plant responsible for much of the well-known skin healing and anti-aging properties. Most commercially made Aloe products contain almost no polysaccharide because they get destroyed in the heating process. We never heat or pasteurize our juice, so this doesn't happen with our Aloe.
